About Me
I am a writer, editor, and communications professional based in St. Louis, Missouri. My experience has included working in content, both written and multimedia, for organizations across multiple industries. My most recent role was a senior content specialist as part of the broader corporate communications team at the cybersecurity company Netskope. I was responsible for managing the editorial calendar, editing and regularly publishing the corporate blog, co-producing and co-hosting the Security Visionaries podcast, and hosting short-form "Max on the Street" social media videos from the annual RSA Conference. In addition to that, I am also a regular freelance contributor to the arts coverage at St. Louis Magazine and the business coverage at Biz 417.
While I have spent much of my career in content and marketing, my background is in journalism. I graduated from the University of Missouri in December 2015 with my Bachelor of Journalism and again in May 2017 with a Master of Arts in reviewing and reporting on arts and entertainment.
Work Experience
Netskope
Senior Content Specialist

I helped to create, edit and publish content across the Netskope website, including the Netskope blog, externally published thought leadership articles, and other content assets. For a time, I was also responsible for leading monthly intake calls with company subject matter experts to create articles that were published at places like Forbes, CIO Dive Security Boulevard, and Network World. I helped create the Netskope house content style guide, which is used across the marketing department and served as the custodian of the guide.
Additionally, I was responsible responsible for co-creating and co-producing more than 70 episodes of the Security Visionaries podcast since 2021, for an audience of 500+ subscribers, and served as a regular co-host from 2023-2026. I also served as an on-camera social media personality, "Max on the Street," for annual coverage at the RSA Conference in San Francisco and was an integral on-camera presence at the St. Louis office during Netskope’s 2025 IPO.

I’ve been writing freelance arts coverage for St. Louis Magazine since October 2021. I have written for both the print and web versions of the magazine, with a focus on local stories around film, music comedy, and theater. In my time, I’ve interviewed filmmakers (Steven Soderbergh, Alex Ross Perry, Julian Glander), musicians (Chappell Roan, Angel Olsen, 100gecs, Story of the Year), and comedians (Chris Redd, Greg Warren), among many others to tell interesting local stories.

My role focused on collaborating directly with the company's CEO to create engaging content for the online life insurance agency's blog. This meant watching life insurance trends, customer search behavior, competitors' coverage to make sure we were providing the highest quality content that stayed in line with the company's voice. I also helped edit pieces submitted by freelancers and write company press releases, as needed.
